Important dates to remember for the month of February:

Next week the Grade 6's will be selling heart shaped lollipops for three days. The cost will be 50 cents. To avoid unnecessary touching of coins, only exact change will be accepted. Only one lollipop per day will be allowed. 

 We will be working on the following:

French LA:   Literacy centres:  Reading in a group, presenting the main characters, beginning, middle and end and activity sheet.  Writing stories with an interesting beginning, middle and end. Reading comprehension. Valentine activities. French Poetry.

English LA:  The booklet on Bats, videos, Charlotte's Web and questions based on it.  Story writing with a beginning, middle and end. Book study based on Matisse and Picasso, the famous French and Spanish artists.

Art:  Henri Matisse and Pablo Picasso with a brief history.  Valentine Art.

Maths:  Addition and Subtraction with regrouping with two and three digits. Problem solving with an understanding of the process of elimination. Three digit numbers in ascending and descending order.  Representing a number in three different ways.

Science:  New Unit on Liquids. Characteristics of water.  Experiments. 

Health: Nutrition slogans. The importance of Healthy Eating.  Mindfulness.  Social distancing.
