Dear Parents,
Many thanks for those of you who can volunteer on the 4th and 8th of February for our school activities.
Could you please check your child's Agenda and initial it everyday?  Many thanks.
Today the children used Chrome Books to type a paragraph of Charlotte's Web.  Some children experienced difficulty in typing their username.  Would it be possible to help them at home for a week?  Their username is in their Agenda and it is followed by@learn.cssd.ab.ca.
Thank you so much and have a good week!

Dear Parents,
A Very Happy New Year to you all!  May 2019 be filled with good health and happiness for everyone!
For the month of January, we are doing the following;
Science:  We are continuing our unit on Hot and Cold Temperatures. Yesterday the children learned about the heating system in buildings and how the Thermos keeps food and beverages hot or cold.  Please do ask your child to explain these concepts. We will also study insulating materials and I hope to give a Science Test early next week.  I will give the children plenty of time to practice at school. Some websites of this unit are the following;

Math:  We are continuing to practice how to represent a three digit number in three different ways.  We are also practicing adding and subtracting with regrouping.

French:  We are doing Literacy Centres, French grammar and comprehension and we will continue to write stories with descriptive words and expressions.

English:  We are continuing to read Charlotte's Web and discussing reflective questions and making connections with the characters and events.

Social Studies:  We are continuing to study the language, culture and art of the three communities of Canada, Inuit, Ukrainian and Francophone.

Art:   The children have just finished a beautiful project on Inukshuks.
