 Dear Parents,

Apart from the Lenten celebration, there are no other significant dates in March.

What we are doing this month:

French:  Story writing with a beginning, middle and end and the use of interesting adjectives and expressions. Reading comprehension of fiction and non- fiction text. French grammar such as identifying  nouns, verbs and adjectives in a sentence. Easter activities.

Math:  We are currently working on rounding to the nearest ten, reading and placing three digit numbers in ascending and descending order and symbols for greater than and smaller than with three digit numbers. Practicing representing a three digit number in three different ways. Problem solving will be ongoing.

Science:  We have completed our Unit on Liquids and we have moved on to Boats and Buoyancy. The children wrote their words of the week based on this Unit. They will practice them for next week. Today the kids had fun constructing their boats with modelling clay. Unfortunately, all of them sank, so I showed them how to modify their boat in order to make it float. The second attempt was more successful.

English:  Story writing with a beginning, middle and end and the use of interesting adjectives and expressions. We have been working on information about bats and their habitat. Most of the kids have finished their project. Charlotte's Web/ Novel study is ongoing. We will also be writing some Spring Poems.

Art:  We are working on our Spring project. I will send you pictures of their Art Work soon.

Health:  We are doing activities about mindfulness. How to keep our body healthy and active.
