The children will learn about Jesus’ life through Bible stories and will also discuss the Sacraments and Holy Trinity. Please, note that the resource we use in our Religion class, Growing in Faith, Growing in Christ is available digitally for parents to access at home. The parent-student website provides information about the program and information about what your child is learning in Religion class.

We hope that you had a wonderful, restful Christmas Break.  Many thanks for your generosity and appreciation. 

Information for the month of January 2020.

Important dates to remember:

6^th January    Epiphany / La Galette des rois

Madd   Science  Grade 2’s   Jan. 13, 20^th, 27^th

January 15^th   New Year Liturgy  1pm

January  16^th  Spirit / Pizza Day:  Disco

January  31^st   Professional Day / No school for students

French:   Reading comprehension, grammar,  descriptive stories with a beginning, middle and end,  using vocabulary learned in class and the word wall.

Science:  We will continue our Hot and Cold Unit using thermometers and doing experiments. 

Maths:  Using Math vocabulary the children will do word problems in addition and subtraction.  They will continue with addition and subtraction with regrouping.

Social Studies:  We will continue and finish the culture, traditions and art in the three Canadian communities of Iqaluit, Meteghan and Saskatoon.

English:  English stories with a beginning, middle and end.  Continue reading comprehension of Charlotte’s Web and grammar. We will soon be starting our unit on bats.

Religion:    Jesus guides us.

We will use technology from time to time to explore websites and type stories using Google Docs and Google Slides.
