Dear Parents,
Mardi Gras is around the corner, more specifically the 9th of February. I would like to do a paper mache project with masks. Since it is a fairly messy project and quite detailed, I would appreciate as many Parent Volunteers as possible on Monday morning. Please do indicate in your child's Agenda if you can help.
Many thanks

Dear Parents,
For the month of October, we have started the Magnetism Unit in Science. The children have learned some characteristics of magnets and where they are found in the environment.
They had a chance to use magnets and discover what is magnetic and non magnetic in class. I will let you know when I will need Parent Volunteers for our 9 magnet centers. This will prepare them for their next Field Trip at Telus Spark.
In French, the children have started writing stories about La Sorciere. They are beginning to add interesting adjectives and comparisons. They have completed a booklet on French comprehensions where they learn to answer in complete sentences. Earlier they were working on Thanksgiving activities and projects in both English and French.
In English we are continuing with Charlotte's Web interspersed with activities such as putting words in alphabetical order, nouns verbs and adjectives and homonyms. I hope that the children are sharing this information with you.
In Math we will be working on Patterning. Problem solving is ongoing.
In Social Studies they are learning about the geographical characteristics of the 3 Canadian Comunities: Iqaluit, Saskatoon and Meteghan.
I hope that the children are getting the chance to read in English and French everyday.
Have a great weekend!
